The visit, sequenced.Land with your documents alive
Several SRRV steps happen only on Philippine soil. This plans the visit around them, so the medical, the clearances, and the photos are still inside their windows on the day you file.
The short answer
How long should my SRRV trip to the Philippines be?
Plan for the in-country steps, not just the paperwork. The medical exam, the BICC interview, the oath, and the ID issuance all happen on Philippine soil, and a stay past 90 days before filing adds an NBI clearance. PRA’s published Head-Office turn-around is about 10 working days and excludes Bureau of Immigration time; counting BI, document prep, the bank steps, and the in-person oath, our realistic end-to-end estimate is 30 to 45 working days. The planner below sequences your dates; PRA and the Bureau of Immigration decide every case.

Sequence your in-country visit
Enter your arrival date and how many days you plan to be in-country. We order the steps that have to happen on the ground and flag the document windows that quietly expire: the medical and police clearances at 6 months, the photos at 3 months, and the tourist entry that must still be valid when you land.
Enter your arrival date and planned stay, and your in-country sequence appears here, with the document windows that quietly expire flagged as watch-items.
What the planner is, and is not
The day markers are planning offsets measured from your arrival, not PRA commitments. They give each in-country step enough lead time to land in a sensible order. They do not claim a turn-around PRA has not published, and they are not a promise that your application clears in any particular window.
The figures all come from our verified facts library, and the full step-by-step is on the process and timeline page. For what to gather before you fly, see the full document checklist and apostille order.
Delay alert
Already in the Philippines 90+ days before you file? Expect the NBI clearance step, the National Bureau of Investigation police certificate covering your time in-country. Build it into the trip.

One call, both routes screened
Get your dates checked before you book a ticket
Settling your route and your in-country sequence before you fly is the cheapest hour in the whole trip. We screen SRRV Courtesy and SRRV Classic, and we will tell you plainly if the SRRV is not your best option.
PRA determines SRRV Courtesy qualification on the documents. Many US military retirees may qualify; others fit SRRV Classic. We screen both before you commit.
