What is the SRRV?
The Special Resident Retiree’s Visa, the Philippine Retirement Authority’s residency visa for foreign retirees and former Filipinos. Approved once, it grants permanent residency with multiple-entry privileges and indefinite stay, anchored by a refundable bank deposit held in your name.
Who qualifies?
Foreign nationals and former Filipino citizens aged 40 and above, with a legal spouse and unmarried children under 21 able to join as dependents. The route and deposit depend on age, pension income, and special categories; the two-minute quiz gives a probable answer.
How much is the deposit?
From $1,500 on SRRV Courtesy for qualifying special categories, to $50,000 for a Classic non-pensioner aged 40 to 49. Classic pensioner rates of $15,000 (50 and older) or $25,000 (40 to 49) require lifetime income of $800 per month single or $1,000 with dependents.
Is the deposit a fee?
No. The visa deposit is your money, held at a PRA-accredited bank in your name and returned on visa cancellation per PRA rules. Government fees are separate, and our service fees are separate again, published on the pricing page and never blended.
How long does the process take?
PRA's own service charter commits to about 10 working days at its Head Office, and it says plainly that figure excludes Bureau of Immigration time. Counting the BI endorsement, document prep, and the in-person oath, plan on 30 to 45 working days end to end, with you in the Philippines for the in-country steps.
Do I need an agent?
No. PRA accredits marketers as optional third parties. Applicants may apply directly; no government requires you to use an agent. What we sell is screening before money moves, document discipline, filing coordination through our PRA-accredited marketer partner, and on-the-ground support.
What does GoSRRV charge?
Published, itemized service fees: a free eligibility quiz, a $99 strategy session credited toward any package, and packages listed in full on the pricing page. Government fees go to the government and are never inside our prices.
What is not refundable?
The $1,500 PRA processing fee is non-refundable if you discontinue, which is exactly why we screen first. The deposit itself stays yours, and our own refund terms are stated in the engagement letter before any payment.
Can I work or run a business on the SRRV?
PRA lists no separate work or student visa or permits required among the SRRV benefits. What that means for your specific work plans is a screening conversation, and we route business-structure questions to qualified counsel rather than improvising.
Can I buy property in the Philippines?
Condominium units, yes. Land, generally no: foreign land ownership is restricted, with narrow exceptions best handled by counsel. We refer property questions to licensed Philippine attorneys rather than selling real estate advice.
How do I pay GoSRRV?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Payment is staged: deposit on engagement, balance at filing.
Where do the figures on this site come from?
Every official figure is verified against the PRA, VA, TRICARE, and DFAS sources listed in our Official Source Library, and every fact panel carries the verification date. When PRA changes a number, we change ours and update the date.

The quiz takes two minutes. The $99 session puts your route, gaps, and timeline in writing.

SRRV Courtesy qualification is determined by the Philippine Retirement Authority on the documents. Many US military retirees may qualify; others fit SRRV Classic. We screen both routes before you commit, and we will tell you plainly if the SRRV is not your best option.
