Every document, every validity window, every apostille. One checklist, zero surprises.
The short answer
What documents does the SRRV require?
A valid passport, the PRA application, a medical certificate, a police clearance, photos, and proof of your deposit by inward remittance, with veteran applicants adding a DD-214 and pension or VA letters. Documents issued outside the Philippines must be apostilled, and each has a validity window, so the sequence matters. The full checklist is below.

Apostille, in English
Documents issued outside the Philippines must be in English (or translated) and apostilled by the issuing country’s competent authority, or authenticated by a Philippine Embassy or Consulate. For US documents that means state-level apostilles for state-issued records and federal apostilles for federal records. We map each of your documents to the right authority, and because a clearance can expire while another is still in transit, we sequence the apostille in the right order.
The money move
The visa deposit must arrive as an inward remittance from a bank abroad to a PRA-accredited bank. Here is the sequence, in order. If you are already in the country while the wire clears, mind the 90-day NBI clock.
Email srrvwalkin@pra.gov.ph to request your PRA Letter of Introduction. Include the bank and branch, your SRRV (Special Resident Retiree’s Visa) option and deposit amount, and your passport bio page.
Choose a PRA-accredited bank and open the account with the Letter of Introduction (government route: no letter needed for DBP).
Send the visa deposit as an inward remittance from your bank abroad. Domestic transfers inside the Philippines do not count.
Put the exact purpose line on the wire, plus your date of birth and passport number.
Collect the bank certificate or proof of inward remittance for your PRA file.
